Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using JobChron you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to enter into a binding agreement, and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of service

JobChron is a time-tracking and invoicing platform for freelancers, consultants, and small teams. Features vary by plan. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account registration

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the service.
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the service's operation.
• Generate, store, or transmit illegal or infringing content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

5. Subscription and billing

• Free plan: available indefinitely with no payment method required.
• Paid plans: billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Annual plans are charged upfront.
• Seat changes: adding seats mid-cycle is charged pro-rata on the next renewal.
• Price changes: at least 30 days notice before increasing the price of an existing plan.
• Taxes: prices shown exclude applicable taxes. You are responsible for all taxes owed.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period. No partial refunds are issued. After cancellation your account reverts to the Free plan. Export your data before canceling.

7. Intellectual property

JobChron and its content are owned by us and protected by law. You retain ownership of all data you enter (time entries, clients, invoices). You grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the service.

8. Data and privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

JobChron is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobChron and its owners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of California.
